Homecoming at GHS

We keep track of our alumni's success at GHS. We find that even though our  alumni make up about 10% of each GHS class, they earn considerably more that 10% of the leadership, academic & social awards.   Not only are our alumni chosen to be on the Homnecoming Court more than 10% of the time, they regularly win the top spots. Here's how they've done the past few years:

GHS Class of 2020:  Kyle Frei - King;  Jesus Perez & Colby Canaday - nominees
GHS Class of 2019:  Abbygayle Asker - Queen, Molly DeFord, Paige Lindsley, Noah Kaschmitter, Nathan Lothspeich & Hunter Schoo -
                                    nominees
GHS Class of 2017:  Katrina Frei - Queen; Maggie Chmelik, Catherine Rockwell, Jon Asker & Patrick Schumacher - nominees
GHS Class of 2016:  Emily Kaschmitter, Jake Kaschmitter & Cole Lindsley - nominees
GHS Class of 2015:  Elizabeth Forsmann, Cody Frei & Zach Frei, nominees
GHS Class of 2014:  Alexanderia Rockwell, nominee
GHS Class of 2013:  Juston Lindsley, nominee; Patrick Green, junior nominee
GHS Class of 2012:  Sydnee Kaschmitter -- Junior nominee
GHS Class of 2011: Megan Deford - Queen
GHS Class of 2010: Alex Ackerman - nominee
GHS Class of 2009: Dana Groom - Queen; Kelsea Wilkins & Matt Kaschmitter - nominees
GHS Class of 2008: Austin Wassmuth - King; Katie Holman - Queen
GHS Class of 2006: Mason Groom - King; Molly Holman - Queen; Kayla Cervantes & J.D. Schmidt - nominees
GHS Class of 2005: Clay Groom - King; Dusty Arnzen & Neal Wassmuth - nominees (there were no SPPS female alumni in the class)
GHS Class of 2004: Elizabeth Fantini - Queen; Alex Frei - nominee

Homecoming Court nominees are chosen by their peers by a written ballot that includes every senior's name (this isn't a process where you get nominated by a friend). There are usually 4 or 5 nominees for both king and queen. A second vote is held to determine king & queen with just the nominee names on the ballot.
