Home & School Meeting
This Thursday, Sept. 2nd at 7:00pm, in the old gym (new classroom), will be our 1st Home & School meeting. At these meetings fund-raising support is discussed. Also (a change from past years) Teachers will give a preview of what will be happening in their classrooms and how parents can be involved.

Handbooks
There are still quite a few families that have not turned in the signed form from their new handbooks. Please read your handbook with your child/children, sign the front form, cut it out and return it to school as soon as possible. We need one from every family.  Please check your envelope for other forms needing to be signed. I have gone through all of the registration packets and some families still have a few forms that need to be completed.

MAPS Testing
Fall MAP tests will be given the week of September 20th ~ 24th.  Please do not schedule  family outings, dentist or doctor appointments, etc. for this week. It is very important that all students are here and in good health this testing week.

Meetings with Teachers
Each Monday (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday) the teachers meet right after school until at least 4:00. This is not a good time to drop in for meetings with your child’s teacher, even if you think it will take only a few minutes.

Children’s Collection
We take a collection at our Friday Masses for two children in Guatemala that our students have sponsored for years. Jose and Wendy are 12 and 9 years of age and we send them each $30 a month through the Christian Foundation for Children. If each student could give just .80 cents a month, we can continue to help Jose and Wendy continue their education in a country that few children can go to school. Thank You!

Drivers
Anyone wanting to drive students to any activity must give the office a copy of their     drivers license and current insurance. Most of the drivers licenses from last year are still good, but the insurance cards have expired. Please don’t wait until the last minute to do this, you may not be able to drive when needed.

Yearbooks
We do  have more books if you would like to purchase one now, they are $12.50, just check with Penny

Student Body Cards
Please look inside this envelope for your    student body card. This card will allow our  students to enter Junior High games at a lower cost admission.

Volunteer Corner
Volunteer sheets will be sent home each month to keep track of your hours. Please  send them in to the office to make sure you are credited correctly. If you put in hours this summer they can be used to finish out last school year or start this year. Volunteer hours (if not served) are now charged at $10.00 an hour. Please call the office if you have any   questions or can help with any of these things, 983-2182.

Want to make your hours really fast! Mrs. Grooms’ office needs to be painted. We do have someone that will tape off and prep. We are in need of a Vice President for Home & School. We need one more person to stand at a door for our Home Tour.

We are in need of basketball coaches for the 5th & 6th grade. Season runs Jan-Mid March.

Volunteers are needed to run the clock, take money at the gate, keep the record book and referee
