HALLISSEY SPORTSMANSHIP TROPHY
AWARDED TO SPPS GIRLS

Our 7th & 8th graders traveled to Boise last weekend to play in the 47th annual Hallissey tournament.  The tournament was started by Fr. Hallissey to teach sportsmanship & fellowship to Catholic Youth.  This year 33 teams consisting of 900 youth competed in three divisions: boys, girls & coed teams.

This year, we are proud to announce our 7th & 8th grade girls’ team won the Sportsmanship Award.  They were coached by Neile Crew with assistance from Dennis Crew & Bernie Kaschmitter.  Coaching the boys' team was Chad Frei, who received assistance from Jayci Frei.  A huge thanks to the coaches for both teams -- we're trying to instill values in our kids and we couldn't do it without you! This is the first time a girls’ team from SPPS has won the Sportsmanship Award.  Congratulations girls on your wonderful accomplishment!
